The famous dialogue of the super hit drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho ‘DO TAKAY KI LARKI” has declared the mindset of drama writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. Not only this, in recent Awards Show he declares that for him
“Women Is Only Women As Long As She Has HAYA”
This statement is questionable. What HAYA meant to him? Who is he to set parameters of feminism? Who is he to decide when to give rights to women? How he ignores Islam that clarifies women’s rights.
These dialogues are enough to be called Khalil Ur Rehman is feminist by choice. It’s a bitter truth that 70% of men in our society are of the same mindset. They do not let their women speak for their rights and treat them as their property. They treat them as their slaves by imposing their decisions on them.
Again in a recent interview, a well-known writer Khalil Ur Rehman again used a pathetic statement about women by saying “Second-Rated Women”. Although he clarifies afterward, his attentions were not to humiliate anyone. But even then, no one is allowed to say anything about others’ character.
Whatever is the case, no one is permissible to humiliate any human being whether men or women. Whatever a girl does with her life is totally her own will. If she wants to live with someone that’s ok and if she finds someone is not the right match for her it’s her decision whether to compromise or chose another path.
After All, Women Are Humans And They Deserve Equal Rights And Valuable Position In Society
The good news is that our youth is wise enough that they took steps to promote feminism. In a recent event held at Kinnard College Lahore, the female audience boycotts the conference in which Khalil Ur Rehman was invited just to show that after all women are the most valuable creature of God and have their own choices and decisions.
