“Women Is Only Women As Long As She Has HAYA”
This statement is questionable. What HAYA meant to him? Who is he to set parameters of feminism? Who is he to decide when to give rights to women? How he ignores Islam that clarifies women’s rights.
These dialogues are enough to be called Khalil Ur Rehman is feminist by choice. It’s a bitter truth that 70% of men in our society are of the same mindset. They do not let their women speak for their rights and treat them as their property. They treat them as their slaves by imposing their decisions on them.
Again in a recent interview, a well-known writer Khalil Ur Rehman again used a pathetic statement about women by saying “Second-Rated Women”. Although he clarifies afterward, his attentions were not to humiliate anyone. But even then, no one is allowed to say anything about others’ character.
